The role: As a Senior Risk Specialist, you’ll take the lead in delivering robust risk and opportunity management across complex, high‑value programmes. You’ll work at the heart of multidisciplinary project teams, helping to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact delivery while unlocking opportunities that enhance performance and outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to influence major projects that support national security, giving you the platform to demonstrate expert risk management capability and grow within a global engineering organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the implementation of risk and opportunity management frameworks across projects
  • Managing and maintaining risk registers, risk management plans, and reporting outputs
  • Identifying, analysing, and mitigating project and programme risks and opportunities
  • Applying quantitative risk techniques such as schedule and cost analysis
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and effectively managed

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.

Essential experience:

  • Delivering risk management within large, complex projects or programmes
  • Driving day-to-day risk management activities across multidisciplinary teams
  • Applying risk governance and assurance principles in a structured environment
  • Using or supporting quantitative risk techniques such as Monte Carlo analysis (desirable)
  • Working within defence, engineering, or similarly regulated industries (desirable)

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Must be Sole UK.
