Role
As a Principal Systems Integration Engineer, you’ll lead the integration of complex hardware and software systems, ensuring solutions are delivered at pace and to the highest standards. This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership, collaboration and innovation working across the entire project lifecycle from bid through to delivery and support. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering mission‑critical capabilities, influencing engineering standards and driving quality across multidisciplinary teams, all while developing your own leadership and technical expertise in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities:
- Leading integration of hardware and software systems across complex projects
- Supporting bid activities, design development and end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle
- Coordinating and collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams and stakeholders
- Driving engineering governance, standards and quality while resolving technical challenges
- Overseeing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, promoting innovation and continuous improvement
Essential experience:
- Strong experience of integration of hardware and software
- Experience of bid support
- Strong stakeholder (both external and internal) management experience
- Line management experience
