The role

As a Bid Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We're on the lookout for a passionate and ambitious Bid Manager to help us grow our business and elevate their career to new heights. If you're driven, innovative, and eager to make a real impact, we want to hear from you!

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Leading the execution of our Business Winning strategy.
  • Conducting colour team reviews to ensure top-notch proposals.
  • Performing in-depth competitor analysis to stay ahead of the game.
  • Overseeing win strategy reviews and boards to refine our approach.
  • Managing and being accountable for bid programmes from Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) to Contract Award.
  • Working with opportunity owners and business development teams to develop and provide customised business winning solutions and strategies.
  • Leading and chairing Governance and Approval activities associated with Business Winning.
  • Identifying and championing the win themes, and business winning strategy in collaboration with the Opportunity Owner.
  • Ensuring all Customer requirements are captured in the tender submission.
  • Working with the Business Development teams to ensure that Capture Plans are handed over to the bid team at a sufficient maturity.
  • Ensuring the bid submitted meets the agreed business format, presentational standards, content and compliance with company and customer guidelines.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and based in Bristol offering hybrid working.

Essential experience of the Bid Manager:

  • Experience in business winning, development, capture and solution development with demonstrable success in previous roles.
  • Demonstrable experience in building relationships and leading pan-business cross functional teams.
  • Able to manage/lead Customer and Supplier engagement meetings at senior/board level with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leading business winning activities on major bids.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
