The role involves:

  • Delivering workplace coaching, assessment and tailored support to apprentices.
  • Monitoring, recording and tracking learner progress while maintaining accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Providing constructive feedback and training sessions to support successful programme completion and End Point Assessment readiness.
  • Building strong relationships with learners, employers and internal stakeholders to enhance the learner experience.
  • Maintaining professional standards, compliance requirements and continuous professional development.

Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role. The role is based remotely, with travel required to sites across the South West including Tidworth, Lyneham, Warminster, Colerne, Larkhill, Bulford and Wiltshire. The set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.

Essential experience:

  • Considerable experience as a qualified assessor.
  • Strong background within a motor vehicle or relevant engineering environment.
  • Good understanding of work-based learning programmes and apprenticeship delivery.
  • Experience supporting learners to achieve qualifications and professional standards.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with learners, employers and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent assessor qualification.
  • Vehicle Mechanic qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 or above, or equivalent.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (EDBS) security clearance for this role.
