The Role
As a Safetyand Compliance Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The role includes activity supporting all elements of the Safety and Compliance Monitoring Management Systems that covers all Aviation activities, including elements of health and safety.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Managing and participating in Triage Meetings and capturing and recording of key information.
- Support the organisation with investigations and implementation of corrective/preventative measures
- Maintain the Synergi Life database records of occurrences, investigations, safety assurance including corrective/preventative actions and recommendations; communicating with the responsible line managers to support effective and timely follow up and closure
- Manage the Occupation Health Surveillance programme, facilitating in referrals where required and update of databases, Liaising with the occupational health provider and the head of occupational health.
- Coordinate activities such as the SAG and SARB ensuring the reporting of minutes, actions and the proactive progression of corrective actions and the monitoring and reporting of trends and key focus areas.
This role is full time and based onsite at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport). This role is a 52-week full time contract and may include possible travel to other sites.
Essential experience of the Safety and Compliance Officer:
- Proven ability to act on own initiative and make sounds decisions which can be substantiated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, computer literacy, report writing, analysis ability skills.
Qualifications for the Safety and Compliance Officer:
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
