The role
As a Multi-Trader – Carpenter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join our dynamic team to deliver a wide range of multi-trade building services across all designated properties, with a strong focus on expert carpentry maintenance and repair
Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Estate, ensuring high standards and operational efficiency through hands-on support. You’ll also:
- Undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of fabric equipment, as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Predominantly (but not limited to) fabric repair, basic joinery, basic painting, gutter clearing etc
- Support decommissioning activities when plant is being removed from service.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in compliance with statutory obligations and health and safety legal requirements and best practice
- Co-ordination and co-operation with all company teams and appointed contractors as required
This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Minley. You will have an on-call rota post 6 months working within the role.
Essential experience of the Multi-Trader – Carpenter:
- Proven experience in joinery/carpentry
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, trainees and the customer
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective communication skills for interacting with the customer and Babcock senior leadership
Qualifications for the Multi-Trader – Carpenter:
- Full UK Driving Licence
