As a Welder Fabricator, you\’ll have a role that\’s out of the ordinary. You will be involved in the construction of bespoke fabrications for installation into motor vehicles, using various types of machinery, metals, and welding techniques. Day-to-day, you\’ll develop skills and experience, working in a fast-paced production environment. Throughout your career, you\’ll have the opportunity to train in different production areas within the site.
Responsibilities include:
- Welding Preparation – including grinding, sanding, and blasting
- Use of solvents and other cleaning agents
- Painting tasks including spraying, patch painting, and rolling
- Knowledge of various welding types e.g., MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene
- Operation of manual handling equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts
This position involves manual work, including lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods. It is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based on-site at Warminster.
Essential experience:
- Experience working in an environment of similar nature, welding heavy commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of a range of welding processes with demonstrable experience
- Educated to Level 3 in Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) / National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Welding
- Valid and appropriate Full UK driving license
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance.
