At Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Systems Engineer, at our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site.

The role:

  • Lead and direct systems engineering activities across complex programmes
  • Allocate tasks and oversee delivery from a team of systems engineers
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to grow capability across the team
  • Deliver hands‑on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration
  • Lead and contribute to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week at either our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site. Hybrid working patterns are available.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrating strong systems engineering experience across requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification and validation
  • Leading or mentoring engineers within engineering teams
  • Working on complex, multidisciplinary engineering programmes
  • Reviewing technical outputs and leading engineering or design reviews
  • Applying full lifecycle systems engineering expertise

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (desirable)

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
