At Babcock, we are working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Warehouse and Logistics Operative at our Bovington site in Dorset.
The role: As a Warehouse and Logistics Operative, you'll be at the centre of our supply chain, ensuring materials are received, stored and issued efficiently to support critical defence operations. Every item you handle helps maintain readiness, performance and safety across our programmes. This role is 37 hours per week, based on site at Bovington, Dorset, working Monday to Thursday.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect and book in deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Store and organise materials safely within the warehouse environment.
- Issue parts and equipment to support operational requirements.
- Support stock control activities including stock checks and inventory updates.
- Maintain a clean, safe and compliant warehouse environment.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Using basic information technology systems, including Microsoft Excel.
- Working accurately with stock, inventory or goods-in/goods-out processes.
Qualifications:
We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. A forklift or manual handling equipment licence would be advantageous.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
