The role:
- Support Babcock Land operations by efficiently receiving, storing and issuing goods within a busy operational warehouse.
- Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly support customer delivery and defence capability.
Day to day you'll be required to:
- Receive inbound supplier deliveries, checking quantities, condition and paperwork.
- Operate manual handling equipment to safely move, store and organise stock.
- Maintain accurate stock records, including shelf life and product compliance checks.
- Pick and pack outbound orders to meet customer requirements on time.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
The role is based onsite at Bovington, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.30, and Friday 07.00 to 12.00, totalling 37 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:
- Basic IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to follow processes accurately and work with documentation.
- Confidence working as part of a team in a practical environment.
- Willingness to carry out manual handling activities safely.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is advantageous, but not essential.
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:
We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you. However, a manual handling equipment or forklift licence would be advantageous.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
