The role:
As a Storekeeper, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a key role in supporting critical defence communication operations by ensuring equipment is received, issued, repaired, and recorded accurately. Working as part of a close‑knit team of five, your work will directly support meeting contractual requirements and maintaining operational readiness. This is an onsite role that offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to build a stable and rewarding career within defence engineering support.
Day to day you’ll be required to:
- Receiving, issuing, and accounting for communication equipment using correct procedures
- Maintaining accurate records across internal databases and storage systems
- Managing broken equipment, arranging repairs, and ordering replacements where required
- Supporting the Stores Accountant and working collaboratively within the stores team
- Driving Land Rovers and operating forklift trucks once trained and authorised
The role is based on site at Bovington, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm, totalling 39 hours per week. On call rotas and overtime are available and may include weekends.
Essential experience of the Storekeeper:
- Competent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain strong working relationships
- Good general health and safety awareness
Qualifications for the Storekeeper:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
