As a Transport Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting military training and operational activities by ensuring road transport resources are planned, coordinated and utilised effectively.

Working within our Aviation business, you'll be the central point of expertise for transport planning, helping to maximise the use of Defence transport assets while supporting key RAF Air Cadets activities and regional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all road transport planning, scoping, booking and authorisation activities for RAF Air Cadets Headquarters requirements.
  • Liaise with Tri-Service Motor Transport units and external service providers to secure the most effective transport solutions.
  • Manage hire vehicle and private vehicle usage in accordance with Defence policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all required transport documentation, vehicle records and authorisations are accurately maintained.
  • Monitor vehicle returns, fuel cards and damage reporting processes to ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Ensure the role is based onsite at RAF Cranwell, with working times Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 16:00, totalling 39 hours per week.
  • Use motor transport management systems, particularly Clarity Console.
  • Apply knowledge of RAF Motor Transport procedures and practices.
  • Understand relevant Defence transport regulations, JSP guidance and DVSA requirements.
  • Coordinate transport requests and vehicle utilisation activities.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Full clean UK Category B driving licence.
  • Security Clearance – able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
