As a Trainee Survival Equipment Technician, you will receive specialist training to maintain and repair critical survival equipment that safeguards pilots throughout their flying training and operational missions.
- Repair and rectify all aircrew air systems
- Perform routine maintenance on clothing, parachutes, ELTs, and flotation devices
- Conduct stock checks and manage consumable supplies
- Carry out weekly and monthly tool checks and maintain tool control standards
- Manage sensitive data, asset allocation, and maintenance control systems
This role is full time (40 hours per week) and is based on site at Benson, Oxfordshire. A strong passion for engineering and aviation, with a keen interest in technical innovation and aircraft systems is essential. We value difference and do not have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn.
Successful candidates must meet Ministry of Defence security clearance requirements, including at minimum a Baseline Security Check and Enhanced DBS. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions, which may affect your eligibility for certain roles based on your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
