The role
As a Technical Information Manager, you’ll be at the heart of one of the UK’s most advanced defence programmes – supporting the safe operation and maintenance of the Dreadnought class submarines. You’ll lead the development and coordination of technical information, helping to shape how data is structured, stored and delivered through Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs). This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact on national security while advancing your career in a dynamic and future-focused environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead the planning, coordination and delivery of supplier-produced technical documentation, ensuring it meets safety and project standards while engaging with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.
- Planning and implementing technical information repositories and managing supplier-produced IETPs
- Reporting to the Technical Documentation Group and contributing to sub-element focus groups and forums
- Liaising with key stakeholders including MoD and BAE Systems
- Ensuring technical documentation meets project and safety standards
- Driving continuous improvement in technical information delivery
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. Frequent travel is required to MoD Abbey Wood and other sites as required.
Essential experience of the Technical Information Manager
- Proven experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) programme delivery and support contracting
- Strong leadership in support project delivery and assurance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid understanding of risk and cost management principles
- Background in defence, marine or technology sectors is highly desirable

- Degree level qualified or equivalent experience
