Shape the next generation of military engineers. At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Workshop Instructor at MOD Lyneham, near Chippenham, Wiltshire.
The role involves:
- Delivering practical workshop training in core engineering skills such as fitting, drilling, and grinding.
- Preparing and developing engaging teaching and learning materials to support course delivery.
- Supporting and guiding students throughout their training to ensure successful outcomes.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining a safe and effective learning environment within the workshop.
This role is full time and based on site at MOD Lyneham, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Essential experience includes:
- Using measuring and calibration tools such as gauge blocks and slip gauges.
- Manufacturing and fabricating to engineering drawings.
- Strong craft and technical abilities.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
