The role is a unique opportunity to influence strategic procurement decisions across a large and complex organisation. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, delivering commercial value, and strengthening supplier partnerships that support both current operations and future growth.
Working across the Land Sector, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities, improve supply chain performance, and contribute to major contract opportunities. This is a highly visible role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on procurement delivery, giving you the chance to make a real impact while developing your career within a leading international organisation.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Developing and delivering strategic sourcing plans that support business objectives and future growth
- Managing supplier selection processes, tendering activities, negotiations, and contract awards
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Monitoring supplier performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators
- Producing procurement reports and presenting sourcing recommendations to senior stakeholders.
This role is based at Donnington, Portsmouth or Andover, with hybrid working available and an expectation of 1 to 2 days per week on site, depending on business requirements. The role is a fixed term contract for 12 months, working full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Essential experience:
- End-to-end procurement experience within a complex organisation
- Proven experience of strategic sourcing and category management activities
- Experience of supplier relationship management and performance improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience delivering procurement projects and commercial outcomes.
Qualifications:
- CIPS or MCIPS qualification, or working towards certification, would be advantageous.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
