Senior Stores and Warehouse Operative
As a Senior Stores and Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital role in supporting mission‑critical defence and engineering operations. Working within our Mission Systems team, you'll ensure equipment, materials and assets are safely stored, tracked and delivered to keep projects running efficiently and support national security.

You'll build strong relationships, develop your technical skills and contribute to meaningful work that supports the UK’s defence infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Managing the safe storage, handling and organisation of equipment and materials within the warehouse
- Supporting collections and deliveries, ensuring items are tracked and recorded accurately
- Conducting inspections of storage systems and maintaining compliance with safety standards
- Carrying out disposal activities and general stores support tasks as directed
- Performing Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and safety procedures
Hours & Location
Full‑time, 37 hours per week, based on the North Yorkshire Coast.
Core hours: 8am – 4pm Monday to Thursday; 8am – 3:30pm Friday.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hold or be willing to obtain City & Guilds 2377-22 PAT certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Health and Safety policy and regulation knowledge and compliance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- IT literacy of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Forklift driving licence or willingness to obtain one
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role and be a Sole UK citizen.
