Overview

As a Storekeeper, you\'ll be an essential part of our Naval Nuclear logistics and warehousing team, ensuring critical equipment, materials and supplies are received, stored, handled and dispatched correctly to support Royal Navy vessels. Day-to-day, you\'ll have a hands‑on role in defence logistics and warehousing within one of the UK\'s most important engineering and industrial environments. You\'ll support essential maintenance and refit activities on naval platforms, contributing directly to operational capability and national security. Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare outgoing items for dispatch, maintaining correct documentation and packaging standards.
  • Support ongoing inventory management activities, ensuring materials are stored safely and logically.
  • Operate manual handling equipment and maintain a safe, organised warehouse environment.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a high‑performing logistics team delivering essential outputs for the Royal Navy.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard and Burrington Way Sites.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehousing or logistics environment.
  • Experience using inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Forklift truck training or willingness to undertake training.
  • Driving licence - Desirable.
  • Additional warehousing, logistics, manual‑handling or stock‑control training - Desirable.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
