The role

As a Source to Contract Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management across our UK Aviation business. You’ll help implement dynamic supply chain solutions that improve profitability and capability across contracts making a real impact on national defence and your own career development.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-value projects, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and shape sourcing strategies that deliver long‑term value.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll lead sourcing activities for key projects, manage tender processes and contract negotiations, and collaborate with stakeholders to define third‑party support needs. You’ll ensure contract obligations are effectively passed down to suppliers, redirect off‑contract spend through central agreements, and develop supplier relationship plans that drive performance, reduce risk, and deliver value.

  • Leading sourcing activity for designated projects, including RFIs, RFPs, ITTs, and contract negotiations
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders to define third‑party support requirements
  • Ensuring contract obligations are effectively flowed down to the supply chain
  • Redirecting maverick spend through central agreements to maximise value
  • Developing supplier relationship plans to meet KPIs and mitigate risk

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. This role home based with travel to Staverton and other sites as required.

Essential experience of the Source to Contract Specialist

  • Proven experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or contract management
  • Track record of leading tenders, negotiations, and implementing contracts
  • Skilled in creating bespoke RFx documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications for the Source to Contract Specialist

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
