The role involves managing the receipt, control, assessment, and issue of technical documentation. You will work with Design Authorities, OEMs, the MoD, and internal engineering teams to assess change impact and communicate technical updates that influence safety, manufacture, and use of equipment.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Control and manage technical documents and ASI, ensuring effective configuration and change control.
- Assess technical changes to identify safety, engineering, and operational impacts.
- Communicate approved changes clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain registers, libraries, and systems supporting technical document control.
- Drive continuous improvement of Technical Services processes and performance.
Essential experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical change clearly.
- Confidence engaging with engineers and subject matter experts to assess impact and requirements.
- A structured, detail-focused approach to configuration and document control.
- Ability to manage priorities independently while working collaboratively across teams.
Qualifications:
- Completed a relevant technical or vocational qualification (e.g. Advanced Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
