As a Passes and Permits Clerk at RAF Shawbury, you'll play an important role in supporting site security and access control, helping ensure personnel, contractors and visitors can safely access the facilities they need.

The role involves the administration, control and issue of personnel and vehicle passes, supporting the day-to-day operation of the Pass Office. You'll work closely with military personnel, contractors, visitors and internal stakeholders, ensuring all access requirements are managed efficiently and in accordance with security procedures.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Create and issue personnel and vehicle passes in line with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to access permissions and permits.
  • Support the administration and coordination of passes for visitors, contractors and special events.
  • Liaise with security and military stakeholders to ensure access requirements are met.
  • Manage correspondence and enquiries relating to site access and permits.

This is a part-time, onsite role based at RAF Shawbury, working 16.25 hours per week. Shift pattern as below:

  • Monday - Tuesday: 6.5 hours
  • Wednesday: 3.25 hours

Essential experience includes:

  • Previous administrative experience within a busy office environment.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Qualifications required:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
