As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you'll play a critical role within the Equipment Support Cell, ensuring technical solutions are robust, compliant and delivered to the highest standards. Working at the centre of operations, engineering, and the supply chain, you'll help bring people and processes together to resolve technical challenges and support vital defence programmes. The role is based onsite at Andover. Working hours are Monday to Friday, total 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and validating technical requests to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Providing expert guidance across maintenance, repair and overhaul activities
  • Supporting collaboration between operational teams, engineers and supply chain colleagues
  • Resolving technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement activities
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

  • Holding an ex‑military background as a Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic
  • Demonstrating proven experience in production, maintenance, repair and overhaul of military vehicles
  • Applying strong technical problem‑solving skills within an operational environment
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Vehicle Service and Repair, or an equivalent mechanical qualification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold.
