The role:
- As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you'll play a key role in strengthening the performance and resilience of complex supply chains that support critical submarine programmes.
- Working within procurement and supply chain, you'll help build a deeper understanding of supplier networks, enabling better decision-making across major defence projects.
- Day-to-day, you'll have an opportunity to work at the forefront of supply chain risk management and data-driven analysis, contributing to improved visibility, resilience, and delivery across a highly regulated and high-impact environment.
- You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while developing your own expertise in supply chain operations, analytics and programme support.
Key responsibilities:
- Gathering and analysing supply chain data to build a clear picture of supplier networks and dependencies.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to improve supply chain visibility and resilience.
- Identifying supply chain risks and supporting mitigation strategies across programmes.
- Supporting continuous improvement of supply chain mapping processes and tools.
- Communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience:
- Understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, or procurement environments.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Ability to analyse data and provide insight to support decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Good analytical and digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, or a related field – Desirable.
- Working towards or interest in professional accreditation such as CIPS – desirable.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
