The role

As a Senior PLM Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening and evolving our digital engineering capability across Mission Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how modern engineering tools are selected, deployed and optimised helping us move towards a fully connected, data‑driven engineering digital thread.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Drive the definition and governance of engineering toolset policies, standards and preferred tool usage across Mission Systems
  • Support integration between PLM (Teamcenter) and ERP (SAP/IFS) systems
  • Provide expert support across key tools (Teamcenter, DOORS, NX, ANSYS, Autodesk)
  • Lead configuration management best practice across the engineering lifecycle
  • Work with stakeholders to improve tools, processes, and user experience

This is a full‑time role working 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior PLM Engineer:

  • Strong experience with Teamcenter (PLM)
  • Experience working in an engineering / complex technical environment
  • Understanding of configuration / change management
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and translate technical detail into practical outcomes

Qualifications for the Senior PLM Engineer:

  • Engineering or digital systems qualifications (Desirable)

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
