If you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer at one of our specialist nuclear sites, near a range of commutable locations across the UK.
The role:
- Lead the delivery of complex, safety critical electrical, control and instrumentation solutions across the nuclear lifecycle, from new facilities through to operational support and decommissioning.
- Deliver high quality engineering outputs that meet nuclear safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project teams, safety case authors, commissioning engineers and stakeholders.
- Review technical documentation, calculations and specifications for compliance and robustness.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation within safety critical engineering solutions.
This is a full time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. The role can be based at any of our main UK locations, depending on project demand including Glasgow, Leicester, Bristol, Newbury or Warrington. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience:
- Extensive experience designing and delivering electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
- Proven application of nuclear or highly regulated industry standards and safety requirements.
- Experience contributing to complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Ability to engage effectively with regulators, clients and technical stakeholders.
- Experience producing and reviewing technical specifications, calculations and safety inputs.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in an electrical, control or instrumentation engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Professional registration with a recognised engineering institution is desirable.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
