The role:

As a Senior Business Support Specialist, you'll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role at the heart of our Naval Nuclear business, supporting Waterfront Operations – an essential function delivering berthing, diving, rigging, waste management and maintenance of marine assets.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Lead reporting activities, coordinate key performance indicators and producing insightful dashboards
  • Prepare business unit review packs and facilitate cross-functional meetings
  • Develop forecasts and support business cases to drive contract growth and change
  • Manage contract risk reporting and supporting mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to track actions and improve operational performance

This is a part‑time role (15‑20 hours per week), working during term time, based at Devonport Dockyard. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrating strong analytical and advanced IT skills for data interpretation and reporting
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Applying problem‑solving skills to complex operational and business challenges
  • Showing financial awareness, including reporting or forecasting exposure
  • Using enterprise systems such as SAP (desirable but not essential)

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a STEM or business‑related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
