As a Storekeeper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage and control of equipment and materials that support military training and operational readiness. Working within a busy logistics and stores environment, you'll help maintain smooth supply chain operations by managing stock, issuing equipment and supporting customers across the site. Day-to-day you'll be required to:
- Manage the receipt, issue, return and transfer of goods, equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using specialist IT systems and manual documentation.
- Conduct stock checks and ordering required stock to ensure operational availability.
- Operate forklift trucks and driving company vehicles, including Land Rovers, where authorised.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping, security and safe handling of company and customer equipment.
The role is based onsite at Bovington Camp, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 38 hours per week, with an early finish on Friday. An on-call rota and overtime opportunities, including occasional weekends, will be required.
- Experience working within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
