The role

As an Innovation Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in driving transformation across our Marine sector. This is your opportunity to lead meaningful change, champion new ways of working, and deliver measurable improvements across complex engineering and operational environments. You'll work at the forefront of continuous improvement, using your expertise to influence strategy, embed best practice, and unlock performance across the business.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Leading and delivering improvement projects aligned to departmental and business goals
  • Analysing operational performance to identify and implement improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to drive innovation and share best practice
  • Supporting stakeholders with change initiatives, tools, and methodologies
  • Ensuring accurate reporting, planning, and maintenance of system records

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Innovation Manager

  • Demonstrating proven experience in management roles, including leading change programmes
  • Showing a strong track record of delivering business improvement through leadership and vision
  • Working within regulated environments where transformation and value delivery are critical
  • Collaborating effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups

Qualifications for the Innovation Manager

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Project Management qualification such as Association for Project Management Project Management Qualification
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Change Management Foundation or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or advanced continuous improvement experience would be advantageous

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
