The role
As a Project Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the heart of delivering critical submarine projects that support national defence. You'll help ensure our fleet remains mission-ready by managing engineering work packages across multiple vessel systems. This is a role where your technical expertise and project management skills will directly contribute to the safety and performance of the Royal Navy's submarine capability.
Day-to-day you'll be:
- Delivering engineering projects to meet safety, time, quality and cost targets
- Compiling project management plans from agreed scopes of work
- Supporting and deputising for the Project Manager to maximise team efficiency
- Coordinating with vessels, shore departments and MoD stakeholders
- Ensuring all work packages are captured, approved and implemented within PEPS
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Project Engineer
- Experience in project planning and risk management
- Familiarity with process improvement techniques
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to work safely at height
- Knowledge of submarine systems and equipment (desirable)
Qualifications for the Project Engineer
- HNC/HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- APM certifications (any level) are desirable but not essential

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
