The role

As a Production Coordinator,you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring submarine projects meet key delivery milestones. Working across production, procurement, projects, and technical teams, you’ll help keep schedules on track—supporting timely redeployment and operational readiness.

Day-to-day, you’ll support the safe and timely delivery of submarine assets by planning work activities, reviewing technical documentation, tracking progress, and coordinating with stakeholders across production, procurement, projects, and engineering.

  • Deliver key assets to various submarine projects across the Devonport site as required, ensuring timeliness and safety.
  • Interpret equipment drawings, interrogate material lists, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient equipment delivery.
  • Attend daily meetings to provide progress updates, flag issues, and contribute to proactive project management.
  • Integrate into the wider submarine business, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to support long-term collaboration.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Production Coordinator

  • Extensive trade experience in mechanical, constructive, or electrical disciplines within complex engineering environments.
  • Proficient in technical documentation review and work package creation to support asset delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams and business units.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, driving collaboration and performance.
  • Practical problem solver

Qualifications for the Production Coordinator

  • ONC/equivalent or above
