As a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end procurement, supply chain, and logistics solutions that directly support critical nuclear and defence projects. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how complex programmes are delivered, ensuring the right materials, partners, and strategies are in place to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and on time. You will collaborate across teams and with external suppliers to create integrated supply chain strategies, drive value, and reduce risk. In doing so, you will develop your expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationships within a highly regulated, purpose‑driven environment. The role is full‑time, 37 hours per week, based at our Leicester, Leicestershire site. Hybrid working patterns are available – three days in the office and two days at home, but can be flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy development to contract implementation and supplier management.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and sourcing activities to ensure operational success.
  • Support the development of supply chain strategies that align with project and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement across logistics and material flow processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to add value and mitigate risk, demonstrating experience working in cross‑functional teams with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Apply knowledge of end‑to‑end sourcing and supplier management processes.
  • Manage supply arrangements, supplier performance, and delivery scheduling.
  • Interpret and apply contract terms, including drafting subcontract agreements.
  • Show familiarity with NEC contract models (desirable).

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised professional procurement or supply chain qualification (such as CIPS or MCIPS), or be working towards one.
  • Achieve and maintain a UK Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
