The role

As a Leadership and Management Facilitator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a vital role in strengthening leadership capability across Babcock. You’ll deliver engaging management development programmes, coach colleagues to grow their skills, and create impactful learning experiences that shape confident, future-ready leaders. This is a role with purpose — supporting people working across defence, aerospace and engineering, and contributing to missions that protect people and enable national security.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:

  • Deliver leadership and management programmes both face‑to‑face and online.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and feedback to support colleagues’ real‑world application of learning.
  • Maintain accurate training, attendance and learner records to support reporting and compliance.
  • Support course planning, scheduling and induction activities for new cohorts.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning & Development colleagues to enhance materials, curriculum, and overall programme quality.

Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport with frequent travel to other Babcock and customer sites.

Essential experience of the Leadership and Management Facilitator

  • Significant experience delivering leadership and management development programmes.
  • Industry competence in a management role.
  • Experience delivering engaging training to diverse audiences.
  • Experience delivering both face‑to‑face and online learning.

Qualifications for the Leadership and Management Facilitator

  • Relevant leadership qualification or demonstrable experience (minimum Level 5).
  • Teaching or Training qualification (minimum Level 4).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
