At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Design Delivery Project Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site. This role supports major infrastructure upgrades that protect national security.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the client-side project and engineering team to deliver integrated design packages across buildings, MEP, civil and structural disciplines.
  • Support the wider Project Manager in administering multiple NEC4 design contracts, ensuring schedule, scope, cost, and risk targets are met.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, shape technical solutions and ensure designs align with operational needs.
  • Interpret and analyse supply chain data to support planning, decision-making, and performance reporting.
  • Manage budgets, risks, documentation, and deliverables, while providing direction and support to Project Managers and Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in complex project environments, ideally in heavy civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts.
  • Experience delivering safety-critical structures or services; nuclear licensed site experience is an advantage.
  • Proven capability in design delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to interpret technical or supply chain information and turn it into practical actions.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Project Management or Construction Management (desirable).
  • APM Project Management Qualification (or equivalent).
  • NEC4 Accredited Project Manager (desirable).

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
