The role involves leading the delivery of physical security solutions within a major defence infrastructure programme. You will provide oversight across the project, technical, construction and commissioning phases, ensuring security requirements are fully integrated and delivered to time, cost and quality.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with project managers, designers, contractors and Ministry of Defence stakeholders, influencing outcomes that directly support ship and submarine sustainment programmes. The role offers breadth, visibility and the chance to deepen your expertise in security delivery within a complex, highly regulated environment.

  • Leading delivery of physical security work packages, ensuring alignment with programme objectives
  • Providing oversight across design, construction and commissioning phases of security solutions
  • Managing interfaces with project, technical and construction teams, resolving issues collaboratively
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including Ministry of Defence representatives and delivery partners
  • Monitoring progress against scope, schedule and cost, escalating risks where required

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience:

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within security or building design delivery
  • Experience delivering projects under NEC4 contracts
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively within small, multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
  • Knowledge of physical high‑security environments and relevant standards or guidance

Qualifications:

  • HNC, HND or Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
