The role
As an Aircraft Ground Handler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key role in supporting the safe arrival, turnaround, and departure of the Voyager A330-200 MRTT fleet. Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
- Deliver safe and efficient aircraft marshalling and ground handling activities.
- Move and position specialist vehicles and equipment to support aircraft operations.
- Carry out first-line vehicle inspections, refuelling, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Conduct aircraft services such as toilet and water replenishment, cleaning, and de‑icing.
- Operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms and forklifts safely and confidently.
You’ll be working 42.5 hours per week, based onsite at Carterton, Oxfordshire. Shift patterns for this role are 4 x 12‑hour shifts followed by 4 days off.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Ground Handler
- Experience operating and driving a range of vehicles and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Background in conducting first‑line daily checks on equipment and vehicles.
- Experience working with large aircraft or specialist airfield vehicles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Ground Handler
- Basic driving licence with C1 entitlement.
- Ability to obtain Colour Perception CP2 (safe).

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
