Overview
Join Cavendish Nuclear, part of the Babcock International Group, on the UK’s first-ever 3rd generation nuclear power project at Hinkley Point C. This role focuses on rigging, lifting and structural steelwork within the MEH Alliance to deliver complex piping and cabling systems for clean energy.
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in building the UK\’s clean energy future within the MEH Alliance, delivering complex piping and cabling systems.
- Plan and manage lifts using subcontracted mobile cranes (including very heavy lifts) and operate overhead cranes.
- Establish and execute complex lifting operations and critical tasks.
- Carry out structural steelwork erection and rigging activities.
- Work on arrangement / isometric drawings.
- Follow lift plans and work with mobile and/or overhead cranes; lift components such as pressure piping, pressure vessels, tanks, headers, drums and structural steelwork.
Qualifications
- Must hold a full Level 3 Apprenticeship in Moving Loads, Lifting and Position Steel Structures, Plant or Equipment or Steel Erection, or Level 3 Diploma in Moving Loads, Lifting and Position Steel Structures, Plant or Equipment or Steel Erection.
- Must have a CCNSG Safety Passport.
