The role

As a Media Development Team Leader, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will manage the Media Development team within the Media Team and ensure the team undertakes activity in line with agreed priorities and processes.

Day-to-day, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the media development team to ensure compliance and adherence to the relevant processes.
  • Ensure the teams use best practice and deliver a range of outputs required for the programmes / contracts.
  • Ensure work is allocated across the team to maximise output and utilisation (in conjunction with Head of Media).
  • Proactively engage with colleagues to offer advice on enhancing teaching and learning through effective and innovative exploitation of existing and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with those developing courses to ensure the application of DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) when developing and selecting methods and media.

This role is full time and has a level of flexibility to work from home and onsite at our Lyneham site (minimum 3 days per week). Travel to other sites may also be required.

Essential experience of the Media Development Team Leader:

  • A strong, demonstrable portfolio of successful creative projects.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite CC.
  • Proficient in 3D modelling/multimedia creation - Autodesk 3DSMax/Blender/Maya.
  • A detailed understanding of rapid development e-learning tools (e.g. Articulate, Storyline, Captivate).

Qualifications for the Media Development Team Leader:

  • Relevant qualification or demonstrable experience of working in a digital learning environment.
