The role
As a Material Planner, you'll play a vital role in enabling operations by ensuring accurate, timely and compliant material planning across Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul activity. Working closely with Operations, Planning, PMO and material subject matter experts, you'll support material enablement for MRO delivery and associated Contract Change Notices. Day-to-day, you'll have a hands on role where your attention to detail, data accuracy and understanding of defence logistics will make a real difference. You'll help identify risks early, manage authority dependencies and support robust, policy aligned reporting in line with the Defence Logistic Framework, building valuable experience and progressing your career within a dynamic defence environment.
- Supporting effective material management, working with operations and planning teams to enable MRO delivery
- Maintaining accurate material data, partnering with the Material Data Controller to identify issues and delays early
- Completing material assessments, in line with policies, processes and service level agreements
- Managing authority dependencies, advising on escalation and relief claims where required
- Ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining material data and compliance within SAP and MJDI systems
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Donnington.
Qualifications for the Material Planner
Materiel Accountant and UAA training courses are advantageous.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
