At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Material Coordinator at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for managing inventory and coordinating material deliveries to support construction and logistics teams.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking stock movements
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Developing material specification documents and managing PTEC requests
  • Organising storage areas and implementing efficient labelling systems
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth material flow and delivery
  • This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.

Essential experience

  • Proven experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or supply chain roles
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software
  • Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and supply chain processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities across teams and suppliers

Qualifications

  • Qualification in business, procurement, or a relevant construction discipline – Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely – Desirable
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport – Desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a valid UK passport holder, with the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Further details are available at GOV.UK – United Kingdom Security Vetting: clearance levels.
