The Role
As a Maintenance and Support Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver world-class engineering solutions in defence and aerospace. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Completing routine and scheduled maintenance in accordance with work orders, maintenance schedules and support documentation.
- React to alarms on anomalies within the SGS, to ensure operational capabilities are maintained.
- Report, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system alarms and anomalies.
- Compose comprehensive fault reports and accurately record all details of maintenance activities.
- Follow safe working in line with site Health and Safety and Radiation policies.
- Create and change written authorised procedures and manuals as directed by the Installation and Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a full-time position based on-site at Oakhanger, working 44 hours per week as part of a rotating shift pattern: 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts, then 4 days off.
Essential Experience of the Maintenance and Support Engineer
- ComPTIA Network + or relevant experience
- Systems engineering experience within the Network and RF communications fields.
- Proven experience maintaining, and fault diagnosis of equipment used in satellite communications including control and monitoring systems.
- Experience of working to safety procedures.
- Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise workloads, with a sense of autonomy.
Qualifications for the Maintenance and Support Engineer
- HNC or above in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or relevant evidence of experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
