The role
As aTransformation Strategy Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role within the Logistics Information and Operational Support (LIOS) programme, a major transformation initiative designed to enhance British Army readiness through innovative asset management, logistics integration and supply chain transformation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of defence support, developing strategic solutions that will shape how critical supply chain capabilities operate for years to come.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
Defining and developing future supply chain strategies and operating models aligned to readiness and support objectives.
Identifying opportunities for transformation, capability improvement and long-term operational effectiveness.
Collaborating with stakeholders, subject matter experts and customer representatives to shape innovative solutions.
Leading strategic analysis and business case development across forecasting, inventory management, planning and logistics integration.
Influencing wider programme design by ensuring supply chain capabilities integrate with engineering, logistics, maintenance and asset management functions.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Transformation Strategy Lead
Proven experience leading supply chain transformation, operating model design or business improvement initiatives within complex organisations.
Strong strategic supply chain expertise across planning, forecasting, inventory optimisation, logistics integration and end-to-end supply chain operations.
Experience developing future-state solutions, transformation roadmaps and long-term capability strategies.
Ability to influence, engage and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
Experience working within complex, asset-intensive sectors such as defence, aerospace, rail, manufacturing, utilities or consulting.
Qualifications for the Transformation Strategy Lead
Degree qualified in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
Demonstrable strategic supply chain and transformation expertise gained within complex organisations.
Experience leading large-scale transformation, operating model or business improvement programmes.
Professional qualification such as CIPS, CILT or APICS/ASCM - desirable
Project or Programme Management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or MSP - desirable
