As a HR Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will work in close partnership with senior leaders and Contract Directors to align people strategy with operational objectives. This is a senior, influential role where your expertise will shape decision making, drive performance and support sustainable growth across a complex, multi-site organisation.
Day to day you'll be required to:
- Partner with business leaders to align people strategy with operational and contract objectives
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management and complex people cases
- Coach and challenge senior leaders to improve decision making and people outcomes
- Lead and support organisational change activities, including restructures and TUPE where required
- Use people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities and influence strategy
Location and Working Pattern
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and supports our operations across MOD Lyneham and MOD Bovington offering flexibility in how it is delivered. A car allowance is included to support travel between sites. We are open to a range of working arrangements depending on candidate suitability, including:
- A full-time role with regular presence across both sites (typically split across the week)
- A full-time role primarily based at Lyneham with travel to Bovington as required
- A part-time role focused on Bovington
- A part-time role focused on Lyneham

Qualifications
- Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a large, complex and multi-site organisation
- Strong experience managing employee relations and industrial relations, including working in a trade union environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and challenge senior leaders with credibility
- Experience supporting and leading organisational change initiatives
- Ability to use people analytics and commercial insight to drive improved business outcomes
- CIPD qualified to Level 5 as a minimum, Level 7 would be advantageous, or equivalent professional experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
