The role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be a strategic force behind our Marine Programmes business, partnering with senior leaders to deliver people-focused solutions that drive performance, transformation, and cultural change. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our workforce and contribute to projects that protect national security and support global peacekeeping efforts.

Day-to-day, you’ll deliver HR initiatives, drive strategic change projects, implement tailored solutions, build workforce capability, and provide data-driven insights to support business performance.

  • Supporting the rollout and management of the People Plan and HR initiatives across your business areas.
  • Driving and delivering complex business change projects aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Tailoring and implementing HR solutions in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, the People Centre, and third-party providers.
  • Building capability across the business by developing skills, knowledge, and behaviors aligned to our Purpose and Principles.
  • Providing data-driven insights to inform people-related decisions and performance.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Human Resources Business Partner

  • Proven experience as a HR Business Partner in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple HR disciplines including Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, change management, and organisational development.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work at a senior level.
  • A strategic mindset with strong project management capabilities.
  • A passion for inclusion, culture change, and making a difference through people.

Qualifications for the Human Resources Business Partner

• Chartered CIPD membership (Level 7) or equivalent.

• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
