As a Network Engineer you’ll step away from front line duties and into a role where you’ll shape the next generation of Royal Navy personnel. Drawing on your specialist understanding of Data Communications and RF Communication Techniques, you’ll coach, guide and assess learners across a range of Network engineering courses. Handling disciplines, while contributing your subject matter expertise to course development, technical change activity and wider Marine Training initiatives. Developing training courses for new equipment/services delivered by Team Aurora whilst ensuring adherence to the DSAT process. Develop, deliver, and maintain high quality training courses for both internal and external customers. Identify the most practical and cost-effective training solution for the customer. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane.
Essential Experience of the Network Engineer
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to work proactively and flexibly within a small team.
- A good understanding of Data Communications and RF Communication Techniques.
Qualifications for the Network Engineer
- To achieve and maintain UK MOD security clearance to a minimum of DV.
- NVQ level 3 in an Engineering Discipline ideally.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
