Overview
The role
As a Marine Engineer – Engines and Generators, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and improving critical infrastructure that supports national defence work that truly matters. Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Providing expert support for engine-related systems in engine rooms
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and POL (Petrol, Oils & Lubricants) issues
- Supporting maintenance teams and projects with your specialist knowledge
- Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld
- Acting as an Authorised Person for Mechanical Pressure Systems and POL
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at RNAD Coulport.
Qualifications
Essential experience of the Marine Engineer – Engines and Generators
- Proven experience working on Diesel, Oil, or Petrol engines
- Hands-on experience with Generators

Security clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
