As a Fire Fighter Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing competent, confident and operationally ready firefighters.

This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your operational or training experience with a passion for developing people, helping to ensure the successful delivery of one of the UK's most important emergency services training contracts.

  • Deliver engaging firefighter development training to groups of learners in classroom and practical environments.
  • Assess learner performance, record results accurately and provide constructive feedback to support development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and professional learning environment in line with health, safety and safeguarding requirements.
  • Support learner wellbeing, identifying welfare concerns and escalating when appropriate.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to training improvement activities and programme development.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

This is a full-time, onsite role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working as required.

Qualifications

  • Fire-related background or operational experience would be advantageous.
  • Passion for training and developing others.
  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences to adult learners.
  • Experience teaching, coaching, assessing or presenting to groups would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
