This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Mission Systems business, supporting the delivery of some of the UK's most important Defence and Security programmes. Working alongside experienced project professionals on highly classified and technically complex projects, you’ll gain valuable exposure to project management, engineering delivery, and stakeholder engagement while helping to protect national security.
The role involves:
- Supporting the successful delivery of defence and security programmes.
- Working within a collaborative Project Management Office, providing support across complex projects.
- Taking ownership of your own portfolio of smaller tasks and projects.
- Providing project administration, coordination and delivery support to Project Managers and Project Controllers on complex programmes.
- Managing a portfolio of minor projects and work packages, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives.
- Processing resource requests, coordinating schedules and monitoring resource allocation across engineering teams.
- Supporting resource planning activities by maintaining project schedules and helping align resource availability with delivery priorities.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 to 4 days onsite and the rest of the week working from home.
Essential experience:
- Experience managing work packages, project activities, or multiple competing priorities within a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrable organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage changing demands effectively.
- Experience working collaboratively within a project, programme, or business support environment.
- Sound commercial or financial awareness with experience supporting budget or cost management activities.
- Experience working within the Defence and Security sector.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting security clearance for this role.
