The role:
- As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Join a transformative infrastructure programme at Devonport, supporting future MOD ship and submarine operations.
- The Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) Business Unit is driving facility development, including the design, construction, and commissioning of docking and berthing facilities for Astute Class submarine maintenance.
- Day-to-day, you’ll provide financial services and support to the Senior Finance Business Partner, collaborating with operational teams to ensure strong financial performance.
- Maintain a strong control and governance framework.
- Ensure complete and accurate accounting records, applying relevant standards, including IFRS 15.
- Conduct financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present financials to stakeholders, fostering relationships for timely and relevant information sharing.
- Support finance initiatives to improve reporting consistency and efficiency, leveraging new tools and methods.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of financial systems, including SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong data analysis capabilities to support financial decision-making.
- Excellent people skills, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- AAT Qualified
- Working towards professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
