At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Survival Equipment Supervisor at our Leuchars Station, Fife site.
The role:
- You will be the key figure ensuring all activities are conducted at the highest safety standards, safeguarding every flight and proactively addressing potential issues.
- Report to the Site Operations Manager (SOM) and lead the team in delivering scheduled maintenance, repairs, and fitting of RAF and company-owned Survival Equipment and Aircrew Assemblies, along with all related tasks.
- Act as the lead for Survival Equipment investigations, support ground movement of aircraft and flight line operations when required, mentor new starters, and ensure all Survival Equipment is issued and fitted to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including RAF personnel and Babcock employees, to maintain high standards of service and compliance.
This role is part time working 20 hours per week and is based on site at Leuchars Station, Fife.
Essential experience:
- Experience in a similar role at any level (supervisory experience not required).
- Mentoring experience in any capacity, not limited to a workplace environment.
Qualifications:
- Completion of RAF Safety Equipment Course or an equivalent civilian qualification.
- AV-MED certification or equivalent training.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
