The role:

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting some of the UK's most complex and meaningful engineering and defence programmes. You'll be part of the Arrowhead Finance Team, supporting over £1bn of engineering contracts and working closely with operational and project teams to influence decision making through high quality financial insight. Day-to-day, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Partner with key stakeholders, monitoring and challenging performance to influence project execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models, ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
  • Deliver month end, budget, and forecasting requirements to high standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, maintaining financial compliance at all times.
  • Drive continuous improvement, enhancing processes, controls, automation, and reporting capability.

This position is 37 hours per week, based at Rosyth. Hybrid working patterns are available, with approximately three days a week on site.

Essential experience of the Finance Business Partner:

  • Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, performance management, or financial modelling.
  • Experience supporting process improvement and strengthening financial controls.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Experience working with large data sets and advanced Excel functionality.
  • Background in infrastructure, engineering, defence, or complex project environments (beneficial).

Qualifications for Finance Business Partner:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally with post qualification experience.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
